Our vision for the playground is simple. Everyone gets to play. Do you navigate the world with a wheelchair? You get to play. Do you use a walker? You get to play. Do you live with braces or other assistive devices? You get to play. Young, old, and all ages between get to play. Able, handicapped, and people who need support get to play. Everyone gets to play.
We envision new surfaces and inclusive equipment designed for access and inclusion. The feature of the new playground may boast the Gilman area’s Pirate Pride with a pirate-themed ship, an integrated surface for access to all equipment, and exciting new ways to swing, spin, climb, slide, balance and jump.
